Print Helper
Make your printer do what it won't.
Turn PDFs into foldable booklets, fit several pages on one sheet, and fix a printer that prints off-center.
Front of the sheet
Booklets
Turn any PDF into sheets you fold and staple. Print Helper works out which page goes where and adds the blank pages a booklet needs.
2 or 4 pages per sheet
Put several pages on one sheet for handouts, notes and proofs, in reading order.
Printer correction
Printer always 2 mm off to the left? Shift and scale the content, with separate offsets for the front and back.
Measure your printer
Print a test page, measure four distances with a ruler, and Print Helper calculates the correction.
Crop bleed and marks
Print-ready files with crop marks are trimmed to the finished page automatically, or set your own margins.
Printer presets
Save paper, double-sided and correction settings for each printer, and switch in one click.
Any paper size
A3, A4, A5, Letter, Legal, Tabloid and more, or your own sizes. Work in millimeters or inches.
Private by design
Everything happens in your browser. Your PDFs are never uploaded anywhere.
How booklets work
Each sheet holds four pages: two on the front, two on the back. Stack the printed sheets, fold them in the middle, and the pages read in order. Print Helper works out the order for you. Try it:
- Sheet 181front27back
- Sheet 263front45back
Drop a PDF
Open any PDF. It's read in your browser and never uploaded.
Pick a layout
Booklet, several pages per sheet, or a plain correction. Choose your printer's paper and settings.
Download the result and print it at 100%. Save the settings as a preset for next time.
Questions
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?+
No. Print Helper runs entirely in your browser. Files are read and written on your device, and nothing is sent anywhere.
My printer can't print double-sided. Can I still make a booklet?+
Yes. Choose “I flip the paper” and you get two files: print the fronts, put the stack back in the tray, then print the backs.
The backs come out upside down. What's wrong?+
Booklets need the sheet turned over on its short edge. If your printer only flips on the long edge, choose “Long edge” and Print Helper turns the backs around for you.
How do I make an A5 booklet from an A4 PDF?+
Pick “A5 on A4” as the booklet size. Each A4 page is scaled down to fit half of an A4 sheet.
My PDF has crop marks and bleed. Will they end up in the booklet?+
Not if the PDF has a trim box, which print-ready files usually do. Otherwise, set crop margins and the remaining area is scaled up to fill the page.
